2 time prime minister of Japan Shinzo Abe was assassinated while giving a campaign speech on July 8, 2022. Video shows chaos behind him while he was giving a speech. He looked to the side after the first shot. He seems to have gone down on a knee when it appeared he was hit after a second shot. Japan is considered a safe place, a former official giving a speech may not seem as an ideal target. The current prime minister Fumio Kishida belongs to the same Party.
